Farmer Jason absolutely brought the house down. 800 K-1 students in one place responding with singing, dancing, and laughter was an "out-of-the-park-and-over-the-wall" experience. High marks from school administration as well.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT A FARMER JASON CONCERT? Sing-alongs and good-time songs! Farmer Jason has performed well over 2000 concerts since the character was created almost a decade ago, bringing his message to pre-K and elementary schools, performing arts centers' family series, festivals, museums, libraries and community centers. Internationally-renowned Farmer Jason invites audiences of 30 to 3000 to imagine his real working farm in Tennessee as he brings it right to the stage! Jason's catchy tunes and ever-cheerful stage persona truly entertain the very youngest fans and their folks while subtly educating about the amazing diversity of our natural world, where healthy food really comes from (...maybe from his own organic garden!) or the rockin' farm and forest animals found all around us. His message is: "Turn off the electronics and get outdoors!"

SPECIAL OFFERINGS FROM FARMER JASON/JASON RINGENBERG Farmer Jason's educational concerts focus on themes of ecology, conservation, recycling, farming and farm animals, the diversity and beauty of the forest, outdoor life, exercise and history. His songs feature great memorable "hooks" that kids can latch onto, teaching subtle lessons while successfully introducing children to a surprisingly complex musical ecosystem.

NATURE JAMS! is the highly interactive elementary school concert inspiring kids to appreciate and actively enjoy the wonders of nature. Farmer Jason will take the children on a musical journey through the forests and wetlands of our diverse American natural heritage. The students will be entertained, educated, and inspired to experience the wonders of the great outdoors. (Grades 3-6 but the show can be adapted to K-6 if needed).

FARM AND FOREST is the K-2 school show starring Emmy Award winning family music star Farmer Jason. This show features Farmer Jason singing songs about farm life and animals from our lovely American farms and forests. The show is highly interactive, encouraging the kids to get physically and mentally involved in their outdoor world. Farmer Jason introduces each song with a short fun lesson about the song's subject. (grades K-2)

SONGWRITING WITH FARMER JASON Farmer Jason leads 3rd to 5th graders in an experience of working together as a group to create a song, understanding the basics of songwriting: story development and structure. Sharing some well-known catchy tunes that illustrate these, FJ helps increase students’ appreciation of music they hear every day and gives them a basic understanding and experience of lyrical writing. In addition, students become aware of the musical qualities in any kind of writing by learning what alliteration, rhyme, and rhythm are and how to listen and look for them. Students learn how the sound of words can affect the feel of a story or poem or how a certain musical chord can affect a song.

AND FOR THE GROWNUPS, SOLO CONCERTS WITH JASON RINGENBERG - Jason's own story is entertaining from growing up on an Illinois hog farm to his star-making alt-country turn which changed country music forever with his band, Jason and the Scorchers. One strength carried his music from cow-punk to alternative country to solo country-alt writer to children's performer: his ability to tell a story in song, a well-known hallmark of good country music. Jason's solo concert is a collection of his original songs and interpretative work introducing the audience to a world of colorful characters.

"Melodic, musically rich and aching with passion for the land of his childhood, these songs are on a par with anything the Americana genre has produced, showcasing a performer imbued with the spirit of Woody Guthrie and the accessibility of Neil Young in his country-rock pomp." -Chris White, BBC
